In order to read the manuscript you will need to be aware of the symbols and contractions used. This was to save writing time, and space on valuable vellum – a bit like texting today. Here you will find the contractions used and once you have familiarised yourself with them you should be able to read the manuscript yourself and check the original against our transcript.
